Moorland Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 3 sessions per week on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP looking to increase their number of sessions per week and looking to work within a well-established practice that prides itself on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining a positive and collaborative working environment.

 About Us

Moorland Medical Centre is a busy and progressive GP practice serving the population of Leek and the surrounding Moorlands.  The Practice is led by 4 GP Partners and we currently serve approximately 9,500 patients.  We are committed to providing excellent clinical care and continually developing our services to meet the needs of our patients.

We are an EMIS Practice and have recently moved to Total Triage.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide high-quality primary medical services to our patients and will work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team.

The post will include:

  • Routine and urgent GP consultations
  • Management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Appropriate clinical administration associated with patient care

The position is offered under the BMA Model Salaried GP Contract Terms and Conditions, including:

·         6 weeks annual leave and bank holidays

·         One CPD / Study session per week, pro rata

·         A manageable session plan based on 15-minute appointments

·         NHS Pension

·         Sessional rate of £11.5k per annum

Applicants should:

  • Be fully registered with the GMC and licensed to practise
  • Be included on the NHS Performers List
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality patient care
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
